The inclusion of a new soft play barn in Millstone park has proven perfect for wearing out the most energetic of kids. There is also an outdoor children’s play area, a volley ball court, two tennis courts and a 3G artificial turf multi-use games area (MUGA), perfect for five-a-side football.
There is also a wonderful seasonal adventure trail, ‘Miss Mouse Builds a House’, encompassing several of the wildlife species that you can find at Lower Mill Estate. Perfect for the family with tree houses, bike trails and bird hides to explore along the way.
You can hire out canoes or kayaks on several of the surrounding lakes and if that's not your style, then you can opt for increasingly-popular paddleboards instead. If aquatics isn't your thing, then you can also hire bikes from the activity hub to explore hundreds of miles of local cycling routes. Instructional courses are also available.
In additional to enjoying the natural surroundings by bike or by water, you can also join in on archery, golf, fishing, horse riding, and aerial assault courses - Just ask the staff at the activity hub for more information.
Only a short drive from the estate Cotswold Wildlife Park exhibits over 260 different species of animals, set in 160 acres of landscaped parkland and gardens.
Watch Rhinos graze on the lawns in front of the Gothic Manor House. Walk up the Giraffe walkway and get eye-to-eye with these amazing creatures or explore the Old Walled Garden’s Tropical House with free-roaming sloths, birds and bats. Watch the Penguin’s being fed (daily at 11 am & 3 pm) and walk with Lemurs in their free-roaming Madagascar Exhibit.
Chedworth Roman Villa was rediscovered by the Victorians over 150 years ago. Leading the way in archaeology and conservation, a modern conservation building provides exceptional access to the extensive mosaic floors, hypocaust systems and bath house rooms.
A small museum houses a range of finds and artefacts from the villa.As well as all this, the tranquil setting, idyllic views and rich wildlife haven gives plenty of opportunities for walks, relaxation and reflection.
